Summer holiday guide for Under 5's
The summer holidays can be a lonely time, especially if you have babies or young children. The good news is that there's still enough to do and we've done the research for you.
Southend Family centres have a summer timetable with lots of sessions still available. The majority of these sessions, older children can join too besides the Under 2 groups. They also have some fun days planned too!
Cake club
Cake club have released their timetable for the summer and will also still be running sessions on selected dates. You can also find breastfeeding and sling support at these sessions.
Holiday clubs and classes - Did you know that some classes and parent/toddler groups continue running through the holidays? We have a specific category for baby holiday classes - You can click the image below to see the list.
The Hangout venue is a new initiative designed for children of any age and parents to hang out. There are activities and games for older children and toys for babies, comfy seats for adults and refreshments available to buy. The Hang out venue is open 7 days a week.

Moo music events - There are 3 special events on over the summer for little ones - Older siblings are welcome too.
Soft play event at Wildflowers tea on the bus - Specifically for Under 5's
Holy Trinity family fun days - 28th July & 11th August - Baby zone included as well as Messy play, sensory space and lawn games.
Summer Evenings at The Hive - With stay and play toys, music and dancing, swings and slide, small soft play and dancing. This is perfect for the little ones!
Little Drivers sessions and events - Taking place throughout the holidays, with car wash theme and special events including Mario and Little City collabs! From 1 years old.
Peppa Pig at Scooty Wooty's - Meet and greet Peppa with lots of pony fun
Hadleigh Farm events - Taking place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer holidays for free family activities. These sessions are always suitable for the younger ones
Children's activity days at St Clement's Church - All ages welcome!
Story time at The Green Barn farm shop - FREE for shop and cafe customers but please book. Taking place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Enchanted Fairy trail at Garon's - Just £1 - Pick up a fairy booklet and follow the trail to see the fairies.
