Havering Libraries Reopening

Published:

Libraries across Havering will begin reopening from this Friday 17th July

Friday 17th July opening: Romford, Hornchurch, Rainham, Harold Hill and Upminster.
Monday 2pm - 7pm;  Tuesday, Friday & Saturday 10am - 3pm

Wed 22nd July opening: Collier Row, Elm Park, South Hornchurch, Harold Wood and Gidea Park.
Wednesday 10am - 3pm; Thursday 2pm - 7pm

They'll look and feel a bit different with the measures we've put in place for the safety of staff and customers:

➡️ Libraries will have revised opening hours
➡️ Social distancing will be in place, with one-way systems and hand sanistisers.
➡️ Library users will be asked for contact details to support NHS Test and Trace
➡️ Books that are returned will be quarantined before being returned to shelves
➡️ There will be reduced access to public computers with limited time and staff support

Please be patient and be prepared to queue as the service may become busy if many people return all their books at once. Study spaces, meeting spaces, library activities and printing/photocopying services remain unavailable.
