Luton Hoo Walled Garden: Summer Market

Published:

Despite the overcast skies last week, the Summer Market at Luton Hoo Walled Garden was buzzing with activity and smiles. Aptly named 'Farm, Food and Fun', the event offered a fantastic mix of family-friendly entertainment, tasty treats, and local crafts — all set in their beautiful, historic gardens.

Parking was just £2 and entry was completely free, making it an affordable day out. Inside the marquee they had a wonderful selection of gift and food stalls, while the kids could get creative in the arts and crafts area. There was even a small bar and a spot where kids could get their faces painted or opt for glitter tattoos.

Outdoors, hay bales provided welcome seating for tired legs, and little ones enjoyed a welly hunt, games, and fun photo opportunities. We treated ourselves to some delicious halloumi fries with sweet chilli sauce from the Lebanese food truck — a definite highlight — followed by a trip to the ice cream van, of course.

Near the Woodyard Café, children lined up for a spin on the colourful teapot ride and a bounce down the inflatable slide, all for just a few pounds.

It’s always a fun and relaxed day out at Luton Hoo, and we’re already looking forward to more! Check out their Events page or keep an eye on our What's On section of the website for upcoming events — highlights include the Handlebards performing Much Ado About Nothing on 16th July, and the always-popular (and FREE!) Bug Hunt on 26th July.

Highly recommend visiting — there’s something for everyone!

When: Sunday 8th June, 10am - 4pm
Where: The Walled Garden, Luton Hoo Estate LU1 4LF
