As parents, we understand that sometimes things change quickly where kids are concerned but as we have to order food and wine we kindly request at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or transferring.

Join us for lamb bottle feeding this spring. A unique and memorable experience for people of all ages to bottle feed a lamb.
A total of 6 people can bottle feed the lambs per session (each has a separate lamb). The price includes Lamb Bottle Feeding for one person only (young children may have one accompanying adult in the pen to help them),remember Farm Day passes need to be purchased for all farm visitors (under two's are free) in order to enter the farm and do this activity. Farm Day passes include access to the farm, the farm trail and activity book, plus the woodland play area. They can be booked on the next page.

Upon the Village Green the May Tree needs preparing, round which, for your enjoyment and to join in with, there will be music and dancing to the finest tunes and the most popular dances of the time. Noise is a big part of the May Day celebration, to awaken Spring, and, further to that end, there will be a display of firepower, featuring the black powder weapons of the day showing just how effective they can be at defeating that old adversary, the cabbage!

The Dinosaurs are coming BACK! A perfect day out for your Dino-mad children. It's going to be ROAR-some! We have got a whole herd of dinosaurs coming again, including newcomer Angie the Ankylosaurus pictured here! We will have a whole herd dinosaurs, like in previous years when we've had Tiny the T-Rex, Bronwen the Brontosaurus and Betsy the Triceratops, as well as velociraptor and a few baby dinosaurs too. We will confirm who is coming in the coming weeks!

The Parish Council is holding an event to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day when the end of WWII was celebrated on 8th May 1945, and to pay tribute to all who served in the war.
One of the Bletchley Park workers remembers how "people lit bonfires in Hyde Park and we sat around singing songs." In the spirit of the wartime celebrations, there will be a beacon lit at 9.30pm whilst I Vow To Thee My Country is sung. Everyone is welcome - please see poster for more details.

Hitchin Festival was established in July 1991 as a one week programme of events. Since then it has grown into a month long celebration of the culture and entertainment on offer in Hitchin.
Each July (and since 2023 each November/December) the festival programme promotes a huge variety of events including poetry, art exhibitions, concerts, theatre, talks, walks, comedy and kids entertainment.
From 2024 the Hitchin Festival will be run by Community Interest Company, Hitchin Creative.

The Repair Cafe is run entirely by volunteers and enables members of the public to bring their damaged items for volunteers to give them a new lease of life, preventing thousands of repairable household items from going to landfill every year.
Anything that's broken (and which you can manage to carry on your own to the Repair CafΓ©) is welcome and has a good chance of getting properly repaired.

These day courses are held at our Honeyworks Beekeeping centre where friendly, experienced beekeepers will allow you to learn the first skills of beekeeping. You will enjoy looking inside a beehive, watching the bees at work and trying to find the queen in amongst the thousands of worker bees. You will also find out about different approaches to beekeeping, what equipment is needed and get an idea of how much time you need to spend. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions with our very experienced beekeepers. Perhaps this could be the start of your new pastime.
