Families, countryside enthusiasts and visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a weekend of rural traditions and family entertainment at the Hatfield Rural Show at Hatfield Park this September.

Taking place at George's Field on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2026, from 10am to 5pm, the two-day event will celebrate the heritage, character and community spirit of rural life.

The Hatfield Rural Show offers an opportunity to discover traditional rural skills and modern countryside life, from beekeeping and gardening to farming machinery and the history of the critically endangered Suffolk Punch horse. Visitors can enjoy arena displays of vintage tractors, brought to life with live commentary from Heart Radio's John Darin and The Rustic Rambler. Highlights also include thrilling gundog demonstrations and a fast-paced gundog scurry, a working steam sawmill in action, classic cars and vintage lorries, countryside talks, hands-on nature workshops, and a variety of craft stalls.

The programme also includes a classic funfair, animal zone, pedal tractors, Mini Rovers for little drivers and a child-friendly tractor tug-of-war, with plenty more to discover throughout the weekend.

Young visitors will have the opportunity to meet farmyard animals, including sheep, pigs, Jersey cows and Shire horses. Sunday's programme will exclusively feature The Sheep Show, a lively introduction to nine different sheep breeds, complete with sheep shearing and plenty of countryside fun for all ages.

Dog owners can also enter their four-legged companions in the Bark in the Park dog show, with all proceeds supporting Countryside Learning.

Food and drink will be available throughout the weekend, including farm-to-plate food from Ragmarsh Farm and Sausage Co., as well as on-site bars.

Tickets are priced per day at £15 for adults, £5 for children aged three to 15, and £35 for a family ticket for up to two adults and four children. Under threes go free.

Every ticket includes admission to Hatfield Park and Gardens, inviting visitors to extend their day and enjoy more of the Estate's historic surroundings.
