Event details

Our next amazing Nearly New Sale is at the Priory School in Hitchin on Saturday 17th October 1- 2.30pm

Come along and shop from thousands of nearly new and preloved items of clothing, toys and baby equipment....

This sale is for baby and children's clothes and shoes (up to age 12), toys and equipment - with over 80 sellers normally selling up to 60 items, that's over 4000 high quality items to choose from!!!

* The sale opens at 1pm - the first 15 minutes are for NCT members, but you can come along and join the queue. You do not need to buy a ticket in advance to get in!

* It costs £1 per adult to get in - if you can bring small change it helps us hugely!

We take cash and card payments at the tills - it gets very busy - please be patient with the volunteers if you have to wait a bit to pay!

* There is free parking on site

* You can bring in your buggy, but please note it gets busy, so you might find it easier to bring baby in a sling!

* We will give you a shopping bag to carry shopping around, but please bring your own bags to take home your purchases!

All the money raised from our sales goes back to support the branch and the charity with its aims - you can find out more on where money goes, by heading to the website. www.nct.org.uk

Never heard of one of our famous Nearly News Sales and don't want to expect?
💜The biggest difference between us and your average baby and child selling market is that our sales are ticketed, which means you do not need to be present at the sale to sell. Everything is displayed on hangers on rails/on tables just like a shop - you take a bag, fill it with what you want to buy, then pay at the tills at the end!

💜You can sell up to 60 items per sale (clothes, toys and equipment - a full guide will be provided once you have registered). You decide the price of each item, which must be a multiple of 50p, and label up your items using the labels provided, as detailed in the guidelines. You must then drop all of the labelled and boxed items at The Priory School on the Saturday before the sale, where it is sorted and prepared for sale by our team of amazing volunteers. Times and details will be provided in advance of the sale.

💜The NCT Nearly New Sale Principles set out what you can and cannot sell. Please read them carefully. You will be asked to remove any items that do not meet these principles from the sale. https://www.nct.org.uk/.../nct-nearly-new-sale-sellers...

💜NCT gets 30% of everything you sell, you get back 70%. Reduced commission rates are available for volunteers who help with additional volunteering sessions at the sale! Our sales rely on a full army of volunteers to run, so even if you don't want to sell, we welcome you to join us to volunteer - biggest bonus is you get pick of the sales!
