We would love you to join us as we celebrate 60 years since the opening of the Hitchin Library building at Paynes Park on 24 May 1965. We'll be celebrating with a family-friendly Birthday Fayre for all ages, with stalls from various local organisations including the Next Page Books, the Hitchin Historical Society, North Hertfordshire Museum and the British Schools Musuem. We'll run some of our regular activities including Baby Rhyme Time and Storytime, and there will be the opportunity to have your face-painted by Impressions Face Painting! Our Artist in Residence will also lead various creative activities with a final oppportunity to contribute to our special reimaging of the 'Hycchyn Mural'. Entry is free and everyone is welcome - please do come along between 1 and 4pm on Saturday 24 May.
