Free menopause support workshop
Fortescue Hall
Sat 31st January 2026
1-3:30pm
Women in North Herts are invited to attend a free menopause support workshop taking place in Letchworth later this month.
Hosted by Everyone Active's Contract Activity and Wellbeing Manager Juanita Prescott, the session will provide a safe and confidential space for women to learn more about the menopause, understand common symptoms and explore how lifestyle changes can help improve wellbeing during this stage of life.
The interactive workshop will cover the different stages of menopause, the physical and emotional symptoms women may experience, and how nutrition, physical activity and positive lifestyle habits can help manage symptoms more effectively.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with others going through similar experiences.
The session will take place at Fortescue Hall, Letchworth, on Saturday 31 January, from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.
Speaking about the workshop, Juanita Prescott, Contract Activity and Wellbeing Manager at Everyone Active, said: "The menopause can be a challenging time, and many women feel they have to navigate it alone. This workshop is designed to provide clear, practical information in a supportive and welcoming environment, helping women to better understand what's happening in their bodies and how simple lifestyle changes can make a real difference.
"Just as importantly, it gives women the opportunity to talk openly, share experiences and connect with others going through a similar stage of life, which can be incredibly empowering."
Cllr Amy Allen, Executive Member for Environment, said: "Menopause can affect every part of daily life, but it's still something many women feel uncomfortable talking about. Workshops like this create a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences and get practical support, and I'm really pleased we're able to offer this to women in North Herts."
Places are free but should be booked in advance.
Participants can book via the Everyone Active app or website, or by calling 01763 255190 (option 3).
Pre-booking is also available by emailing [email protected] or by visiting a local Everyone Active centre.
Everyone Active operates leisure facilities in North Herts as an agent of the council, delivering leisure services on its behalf.
