Calling all puzzlers, problem solvers, planners and transport tamers. Bletchley Park's team of crack Codebreakers number in their thousands, but they all have one problem and need your help to solve it - how do you make sure everyone gets to work on time? Which route does the train take? How often will the buses run, or would it just be quicker to cycle? Families are invited to try their hand at coding a robot train, to use their powers of logic and creativity to map and plan the best routes, and discover how transport played a key role in the life of Bletchley Park's Codebreakers. Most suitable for children aged 5 - 15 years, accompanied by an adult.
Tuesdays and Thursdays (31 March and 2, 7 and 9 April):
Could you have been a codebreaker, a Wren or maybe a dispatch rider? Would you have been able to keep your work secret even after the war? Join us on a fun, family-friendly tour to find out about the amazing people and machines that helped break the Enigma cipher here at Bletchley Park during WW2. In this fast-paced, interactive tour you will learn some surprising new facts, explore everyday life at Bletchley Park in 1941 and you might even take part in some top-secret war work... Suitable for families with children aged 5-14. It lasts approximately 45 minutes and takes place outside. Visit the Information desk on arrival for tour timings and to book your place.
