Hertfordshire's Libraries will launch The Summer Reading Challenge on Saturday July 6th.
This year’s theme is Marvellous Makers, which is all about creativity, from dance to drawing, junk modelling to music, there’s something for everyone!
Children will be able to join the Marvellous Makers team as they search for the missing objects from their creative toolbox! The bespoke illustrations for Marvellous Makers are created by the brilliant illustrator, Natelle Quek.

Hitchin Festival is back from June 29th with over 100 events on offer. As always you can book for some of these events directly from the Hitchin Festival website. You can also flick through the full programme and find links to book other events.
Each year the festival promotes a huge variety of events including poetry, art exhibitions, concerts, theatre and kids entertainment.
Browse the programme online or pick one up from the Hitchin Information office in Churchyard or from a number of other shops around town. There is also a box office open in the Hitchin Information office on Fridays and Saturdays.
