The Performing Arts are so much more than learning how to sing, dance and act. At Stagecoach Hitchin & Letchworth we help children gain Creative Courage For Life. We help to enhance life skills such as confidence, teamwork, coordination and communication through fun and engaging
Performing Arts classes.
We offer a two-week trial, giving your child the opportunity to try our classes, meet other local children and start making new friends, whilst channelling energy through creativity and expression.
We offer weekly classes in singing, dancing and acting during term time for 4 to 18 year-olds at: The Priory School, Hitchin & Fearnhill School, Letchworth.
Early Stages
Performance meets play in our fun 90-minute sessions for 4 to 6 year-olds. Each weekly class is divided into three fun 30-minute bursts of dancing, singing and acting. This is a fabulous introduction to performing arts for younger children who want to explore their imagination.
Main Stages
Let talent and self-esteem shine in our sessions for 6 to 18 year-olds. Split into smaller age-appropriate groups, our weekly 3-hour classes focus equally on singing, dancing and acting, with an inspirational specialist teacher for each discipline. Students get the chance to improve their performance skills and will get opportunities to show off their new skills to family and friends in our Performance term.
“My son has attended Stagecoach since the age of 4 , he's now 12 and it's the best decision we've ever made!”
- Karen, Stagecoach Letchworth parent
You can sign up for the full term or enrol on a two-week trial, giving your child the perfect opportunity to experience our Performing Arts classes, meet the other students and have fun.
Enrolment is now open for the Autumn term. We also run fantastic workshops during the holidays.

Advertising Feature by Graveley Fruit Farm
Graveley Fruit Farm is part of a larger arable farm just outside Stevenage, that has been in the same family for four generations, and offers fruit picking throughout the summer. Grown in poly-tunnels, the fruit is on a ‘Table Top’ system, so everything is waist height, making it easy to pick, especially for little ones who’ll have a great time filling their punnets.
We’re so much more than a fruit-picking farm though- with entertainment for the whole family, animals and a café serving delicious food and drinks.
As well as fruit picking, you can also enjoy:
Fruit picking runs until mid August, but the play area and café are open until the end of August.
Now the fruit-picking season is coming to a close- you no longer need to book a slot, so feel free to just turn up
Most tables have parasols, plus the sandpit is shaded, so there’s plenty of shade on hot days.
Find out more information on our website or follow us on Facebook for all the latest news about booking slots.
*These are paid-for activities.
The summer holidays are well and truly upon us, and whilst you may be thinking you need to travel around to entertain the kids this summer, I can categorically tell you that is WRONG because there is so much going on right here in Hitchin!
Check out the What's On guide for the full run-down, but there's also my Hitchin edit of events and things to do this summer right here.
Herts County Council is excited to announce that the ‘Gadgeteers’ Summer Reading Challenge 2022 is launching in all 46 of our libraries on Saturday 9 July. Our doors are wide open, and we are encouraging children to take part in this free Challenge.
This year the Reading Agency has teamed up with the Science Museum Group to inspire our young readers to be creative and develop their interest in everyday science. This is a fun and innovative Challenge, and it is a great opportunity for children to keep reading over the long summer and develop their joy of reading, either independently or with their families and friends.
