Harpenden Mencap
Harpenden Mencap is an independent charity caring for adults with learning disabilities in Harpenden and the local area.
We provide accommodation-based support to a vibrant community of 33 adults, and host weekly wellbeing-boosting activities: Allotment Club and Britannia Club.
The Allotment Club runs on Monday afternoons and provides hands-on gardening experiences such as watering, weeding, planting and harvesting. Britannia Club takes place on Thursday evenings – this is a social group with sports, games, arts and crafts, quizzes, themed parties, and occasional trips.
We hope to make Harpenden the best place for people with a learning disability to live happy, healthy lives. If you would like more information about our services, clubs, or if you are interested in volunteering, please visit our website or get in touch via the contact details.
