In addition to swim sessions, Ware Lido also offer private hire for parties and celebrations. Swim clubs, schools and community groups can also book.

Situated in the grounds of Ware Priory, the Lido has both a 30m main pool and a smaller teaching pool. There are treatment rooms available for long term hire, and a studio that is available to hire for private events and fitness classes. There are family changing rooms, and a mixed changing village with hot showers and a set of poolside showers. The lido reception has a small shop with snacks, drinks and ice creams, plus swimming accessories and merchandise. Fully qualified RLSS Pool Lifeguards are on duty at all times.

The term 'Lido' is from the name of a place in Venice where bathing took place. Lidos usually have areas for sunbathing, watching, eating and are designed for activities around water. The Ware Priory Lido was built in 1934 and substantially altered before the 2026 season began with new changing rooms, reception area, toilets, events room, grass and new paving round the pool. Ware Town Coubncil have instead £3.5million in the lido since 2021 and is now fully refurbished throughout.
