Similar to other tuition providers the Kumon programmes focus on essential academic skills, but we go one step further by developing a child's independent study skills, needed for school, university, employment and all other aspects of adult life.

The Harpenden Study Centre was established in 1993. Since then, the centre has helped many hundreds of children improve their maths, English and self-study skills.

The centre's youngest student is currently three years old and the oldest student is 15 years old, although Kumon is suitable for children of all ages and abilities.

The study centre aims to provide a warm, friendly and independent learning environment. At least 12 fully trained assistants assist at each class to make sure that our students make the best progress possible.
