So today started of looking a bit miserable with a spitter spatter of rain despite it being warm but I had already promised the children we would go. We jumped in the car and drove 45 minutes up to Johnson’s Of Old Hurst which is in Huntingdon and all the rain had dried up by the time we got there, we arrived at 10am (as I like to arrive as soon as the door open) They do have a large cafe and a fully stocked farm shop aswell as a steakhouse that holds a number of great events.

You get a hand stamp when you enter so that you can leave, grab a bite to eat in the cafe, use the facilities (positioned next to the cafe) or peruse the shop.
You get a lot for your money here, there are farm animals to see including goats, birds and a very friendly deer aswell as wild cats, snakes and plenty of crocodiles. The grounds are large and there are two outdoor play areas, one of which has been newly renovated. The woodland walk has also had some renovation and this is where you will find the goat enclosure, some beady eyed owls and a lookout that takes you over by the ostrich field.
In the main field you will find a small tuck shop with hot and cold drinks aswell as some snacks, keep an eye nearby as there is a very photogenic peacock who likes to display their tail feathers. The main feature of the zoological gardens has to be the tropical house which has recently undergone a very large extension allowing them to house even more crocs, turtles, snakes and more.
Parking is plentiful and it’s all very pram friendly.
I hope you enjoy your visit.
