Southend Health Visitor team
The Southend Health Visiting Team can be contacted Monday-Friday, excluding bank holidays. We have a duty health visitor available each day.
Together with our team of Specialist Health Visitors, qualified community nurses/midwives, Health Visiting Assistants (HVAs) and admin staff, we work in the community to support you and your family's health and wellbeing from late pregnancy to when your child is 5 years old.
You can talk to us about a range of topics including physical activity, your mental health, toilet training, sleep, immunisations, infant feeding, starting solid foods, safety & accident prevention, child development, speech & language, your child's behaviour to name just a few.
Health visitors are currently based in the Civic Centre alongside the School Nursing Team but we will visit you at home, or see you in family centres and other community venues. All health visitors are registered Nurses and or Midwives with an additional qualification as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).
