Join the Fens Youth Rangers to learn practical conservation skills for free.
Join us for another fantastic session of learning real, practical conservation skills, learning from industry professionals and making a positive impact for wildlife. You do not need any experience to attend. This month we're at The Great Fen. This amazing project is one of the largest restoration projects of its type in Europe. Transforming and restoring the land into lowland peatlands includes lots of different management. We'll be joining the local reserves teams to learn how to manage trees and habitats, how to ID trees and fenland wildlife, and enjoy the sights of winter on the fens. Refreshments provided (hot drink and biscuits).

Family Stargazing in the Great Fen
Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre

6pm - 8:30pm
Join us at the Dark Sky designated site of Ramsey Heights Countryside Centre in the heart of the Great Fen for a family-friendly stargazing evening. Take the opportunity to enjoy the views free of most light pollution and learn our most recognisable constellations to start you off on your dark sky discovery. We will be creating some star-related crafts to take home with you too.
Bring your own telescope if you have one, or you can take turns with ours. Please note this event is designed for beginners and planned with families in mind. However, if adults would like to attend just to take advantage of the facilities being open and the reassurance of staff being on site whilst using your own stargazing and photography equipment, you're very welcome to book a place too....
