150 years ago, in 1876, the first foundation stone of Shuttleworth House (as we know it today) was laid.

Join us for this wonderful free event as we throw open the doors for you to explore our iconic Jacobean style mansion.

Discover the rich history of this opulent building from family home to convalescent home, agricultural college and now an award-winning wedding and events venue.

Our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to offer guided tours, or you can explore at your leisure.

Shuttleworth are excited to introduce our Wings & Wheels Air Show - the perfect show to highlight all aspects of a Collection as unique as ours, from airworthy vintage aircraft to veteran vehicles, bicycles, carriages, and heritage machinery.

Explore our new arena area, which will include a racing simulator, "show and shine" display section, activity arena with live performances and a central Shuttleworth Marquee showcasing a range of core Shuttleworth vehicles. Please note, this is a free event and so tickets are not required. However, if you wish to access the Collection and Swiss Garden on this date, you will require a daily admission ticket.

Come along to watch for free, making the most of the free to access Runway Café and the surrounding Collection hangars and Swiss Garden.

On the day, you'll also be able to see the original 'Little Nellie' that was flown in the making of the famous Bond film You Only Live Twice, and the Aston Martin Owners Club will be bringing a great collection of classic and modern examples of the iconic vehicles.

Originally formed in 1972, the NSRA (National Street Rod Association) is the club of choice for UK rodding enthusiasts. As well as being the National organisation for hotrodders, each year the NSRA organises two of the UK's largest hot rod show weekends, plus two major auto parts swapmeets, and two nostalgia drag racing event weekends.

Shuttleworth's Old Warden Park plays host to their second major Hot Rod show of the year NSRA HOT ROD SUPERNATIONALS 2026. The event is packed with activities, entertainment, trade stalls and live music! Saturday cruise; Sunday huge show 'n' shine car show for pre-1972 Hot Rods, Street Rods, and Customs. Get ready to shake your tail feathers at our Blues Brothers Tribute Night, a high-energy evening of music, food, and fun inside the elegant Shuttleworth House.

Kick off the night with our themed "Jailhouse Rock" sharing platters featuring mini smash burgers, hot dogs, buffalo wings, fries, and onion rings - followed by sweet treats like "Sweet Caroline" doughnuts and "Soul Man" brownies.

The Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre is held in the picturesque setting of Old Warden Park, home of the world famous Shuttleworth Collection housed in its own museum. The much photographed Victorian Country House, built by the Shuttleworth family in the late 1870's, provides a magnificent backdrop for the event.

Attracting over 15,000 visitors each year, the Bedford Steam Engine Preservation Society aims to give an insight into the country life at the turn of the 20th Century when steam was in its hey day. Many working demonstrations are taking place wherever you may care to roam on the 400 acre site.
