Bar & Restaurant
At the heart of Hitchin, Hermitage Rd. is based in a historic ballroom with a rich past, hosting some of the greats such as Eric Clapton. It now lives on as a stunning restaurant and bar, with a focus on fresh, exciting food, bespoke cocktails and exquisite service.

Coffee & Bagel Bar
Hitchin's coffee lovers are in for a treat with our newly expanded shop now open, headed up by the chirpiest coffee lover known to man, Magdalena.
We serve knock out coffee (using only the best, ethically sourced beans from Hot Numbers), New York style bagels, salads, healthy juices, smoothies, pastries and treats.

Oyster Bar
Our intimate Oyster Bar features the best of British produce and wine, brought together in a beautifully bespoke setting.
You no longer have to look across the channel for the best sparkling as we have it right here on our doorstep. We have collaborated with award winning English sparkling wine producer, Nyetimber, as well as the finest British vineyards on the wine list.
Our raw menu features British oysters and our own Brancaster Staithe smoked salmon (from the smokehouse at our sister inn The White Horse).
The Oyster Bar is located on the ground floor by the entrance to the restaurant, and is open in the evenings Friday - Saturday from 5pm available for walk-ins only.
We host monthly wine tastings on the third Thursday of the month.

New Meeting Spaces
We have 3 brand new meeting rooms available to hire, suitable for up to 6,12 and 16 people.
These private spaces tucked within our Coffee and Bagel Bar, are stylishly decorated and equipped with top of the line AV equipment - ideal for patching in to those all important Zoom calls.

Up on the very top floor this space is wonderful for private dining, small parties, cocktail masterclasses and workshops, suitable for groups of up to 18 people.
