Kingshott is a nurturing and ambitious school where children aged 3 to 16 are encouraged to grow in confidence and fulfil their potential. Set on the edge of Hitchin, our beautiful 23-acre site offers a calm and inspiring setting, complemented by exceptional, modern facilities that support every aspect of learning and development.
We believe that education should be as individual as the child. At Kingshott, we take great care to understand each pupil's character, interests and learning style. There is no 'one size fits all' approach here — instead, we tailor our teaching to stretch and support every child, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
From our warm and welcoming Nursery through to our vibrant Senior School, we place pupil wellbeing and happiness at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated staff work closely with families to ensure that each stage of a child's journey is enriching, challenging and joyful.
Children may join us in Nursery from age 3, in Reception, throughout the Junior School, and now also into our Senior School in Years 7, 8 or 9. "My son joined Kingshott in Year 7 and it's been the most amazing experience for him and for us! "I have a child at Kingshott, who has been there since Nursery, and currently in Reception. Choosing the right place for my son to go to school was so important and after looking at many different options Kingshott felt like the right choice, and I couldn't be happier with the choice. His learning, development and general maturity since he joined Nursery has been nothing short of incredible and as a first time mum I was so worried he wouldn't be able to hit certain milestones and have the level of independence he's achieved in such a short time. The staff are all wonderful, teaching staff, support staff, admin team all couldn't be more helpful. And the school facilities themselves - fantastic! The children at the school are all a credit to themselves, parents and the school itself and it's great to see how kind and caring the older children are to the younger ones in the school too. I would highly recommend Kingshott to any parents out there looking to educate their children in a first class setting"
