There will be a great treat for G&S fans when 'The Wandering Minstrels' (www.wanderingminstrels.org.uk) visit Emmanuel Church, East Park Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire PE16 6LD on Saturday 16 May for
'THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN'. They will sing, act and dance their way through many G&S Operas including 'The Gondoliers', 'The Pirates of Penzance', 'Ruddigore', 'Iolanthe', 'HMS Pinafore', 'Utopia', 'The Grand Duke' and 'The Mikado'. Artistes appearing in this concert are Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. The concert is a lighthearted presentation of excerpts from the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, played in period costume and performed in traditional style.
