Easter is around the corner so here is your guide to what’s on in and around Huntingdon! As always, I can’t guarantee that those that require booking, aren’t already booked!

Easter Adventures Trail
Wimpole Estate National Trust, Royston
23 March - 14 April

Embark on an Easter adventure in nature and explore Wimpole Estate as you go on the hunt for Easter challenges on a whole new route for 2024, set against the backdrop of the mansion house. Enjoy nature-themed activities, including hop like a bunny, build a home for nature and wibble wobble like a lamb.


Easter at Johnson's Zoo
Johnson's of Old Hurst, Huntingdon
29-31 March

Join us for an egg-citing couple of days filled with zoo exploration, Easter trails, face painting, glitter tattoos, and the launch of our new animal feed boxes. The Easter trail is just £2 per sheet and includes a prize for all participants. No booking is required-simply show up on the day and enjoy the festivities.


Easter Children's Trail
Discover Huntingdon Visitor Centre, Huntingdon
29 March - 7 April (not open Sunday 31st)
Please visit the individual date on the What’s On page to find specific day’s timing

Collect one of our brand new Huntingdon Children's trails from the Discover Huntingdon Visitor Centre (inside the Commemoration Hall). Complete the trail and return it to receive a sticker and chocolate egg.


Easter Craft Extravaganza
Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Huntingdon
29 March

Come and have some fun with an unlimited supply of arts and crafts materials. Work with our team to make amazing Easter artwork. Add to the extra large mural around the Countryside Centre Take part in our Easter trail. £8 per child, 1 hour slots. Book online.

Easter Scavenger Hunt
Hamerton Zoo, Steeple Gidding
29 March - 1 April

Grab a clue sheet from our entrance on arrival, follow our clues to find our Easter letters around the park. When you have all the letters rearrange them to give you this years animal answer. Fill in your clue sheet and post in our Easter box and don't forget to stay until 3pm for the winners draw! Entrance cost to be paid.


Easter Trail
Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Huntingdon
29 March - 14 April

Join us for an egg-citing adventure in our orchard! Bring the kiddos along for a delightful Easter Trail filled with fun challenges and brain teasers! Let their curiosity lead the way as they explore our beautiful orchard, solving clues and answering questions! Once they've completed the trail, bring back their sheet to our cozy cafe and claim their reward! Only £2 per trail!


House and home

Explore what helps to make a house a home this Easter holiday at Royston Museum. With crafts, hands-on activities and our new interactive family show there's something for everyone to enjoy.  £3 per child, free for Friends of Royston Museum.

Especially for Easter, we'll be having lambs that we'll need a hand feeding and looking after. ALSO we're putting on a special family Easter comedy show too, PomPom will be joining us again after being a smash hit during Halloween last year. Don't forget our GRAND Easter egg hunt, it's a day filled with fun here at Skylark during Easter.

Join us at Stanwick Lakes this Easter school holidays for a week of family-friendly activities and adventures! From a nature trail, to crafts, pottery painting, and axe-throwing, there's something for children of all ages to enjoy amidst the picturesque scenery of the lakes. Great Fen Spring Crafts
Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre, Ramsey Heights
3 April

Celebrate spring life with colour and creativity. Drop in throughout the day and join in with a variety of seasonal crafts for children. We'll be using natural and recycled materials to make fun and attractive eco-friendly decorations to adorn your homes and gardens this spring. Think flowers and eggs, butterflies and birds, bunnies and frogs. Activities will be available from 10.30am-2.30pm. We recommend arriving no later than 1.30pm.

Join in with creating some Curly Whirly Pots. This is a timed ticket event, please book online. Workshop sessions cost £5 per child.


Bushcraft at Hinchingbrooke Park
Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Huntingdon
4 April

Come and join our team of rangers, they will show you how to build a shelter using different material and knots, how to start a fire using a fire striker and use a compass to make your way around the park doing some orienteering. This will be an all-weather event so make sure you dress appropriately with sensible footwear.
