What's On Easter 2023

KLAXON…The Easter holidays are incoming…I repeat, the Easter holidays are incoming! Luckily for you, I’ve been beavering away here at Mum’s guide to Huntingdon HQ and have created a bumper guide to what’s on. There’s plenty to keep the kids busy! 

Remember to check out the Things To Do page if you want a general idea of what places are available to visit! 

So, without further ado, let’s crack on with the list of events! I have separated them into events over multiple dates and those that are one-off events. All are in date order!


Events with multiple dates


Easter Parade Trail
31st March - 2nd April, 5th-9th April and 12th-16th April
Jordans Mill, Biggleswade

The Easter Parade Trail runs from 31st March - 16th April, Wednesday to Sunday. No need to book, trail sheets are just £3.50 and available from the Mill Shop. Don't forget to collect your prize at the end!

Easter at Stanwick Lakes
31st March - 16th April
Stanwick Lakes

There's plenty to see and do at Stanwick Lakes this Easter, with our animal-themed trail and Easter crafts


Easter at Sacrewell
1st - 9th April
Sacrewell Farm, Peterborough

Easter is one of our most popular events, witness wild birds hatching to lambs skipping through the fields. What's more you will be able to watch our livestock team bottle feed the cade (orphan) lambs at 10am and 2pm each day. There's never been a more joyous time to visit.

Easter Bunny Trail
1st - 11th  April
St Neots Library

Our Easter Bunny Trail will be launching on the 1st April, just in time for half term! You will be able to hop hop hop along to St Neots Library, St Neots Museum or The Priory Centre to collect your trail leaflet and see how many bunnies you can find around the town.


Easter Egg Hunt at Wicken Fen
1st - 16th April
Wicken Fen, Ely

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between 1 - 16 April 2023, from 10:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:00, so come along and explore the beautiful landscape of Wicken Fen Nature Reserve.


Easter Egg Hunts at Anglesey Abbey
1st - 16th April
Anglesey Abbey, Cambridge

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Last entry to the trail at 3:30pm, so come along and explore the beautiful gardens of Anglesey Abbey.


Easter Egg Hunts at Wimpole Estate
1st - 16th April
Wimpole Estate, Royston

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place daily between 1 - 16 April 2023, from 9.30am - 3.30pm, so come along and explore the beautiful gardens of Wimpole Estate.


Easter Eggstravaganza
1st - 16th April
West Lodge Farm Park, Kettering

This year it's going to be bigger, longer and better than ever! MORE eggs to be found on the Easter Egg Hunt around the Easter Bunnies garden, meet the Easter Bunny and receive a special treat, decorate your own egg to take home, cuddle our own little bunnies, meet the cutest chicks, bottle feed the lambs, free barrel rides plus all the normal fun of the farm!

Easter Bunny Breakfast
6th - 8th April
Dobbies Huntingdon, Wyton

Hop along to the restaurant for a tasty breakfast for the whole family before the little ones take part in some egg-cellent fun with our Easter bunny


Easter Trail
7th - 10th April
Knebworth House, Stevenage

Book a general admission ticket for either 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th April and add an Easter Trail Sheet per child to your basket before the checkout, priced at £2 per child. On arrival collect your Sheet and follow the Trail around Knebworth Gardens looking for clues to complete the word puzzle.


Easter Bunny Express
9th - 10th April
Rushden Station, Rushden

Train ride, Easter Bunny, Easter hunt, animal encounters, kids crafts, and refreshments available from the buffet carriage.

What Nature Does for Us Family Fun at Paxton Pits!

Come along to Paxton Pits Environmental Education Centre, where children can have lots of fun discovering more about the amazing jobs nature does for us and try your hand at these jobs too. Will you earn enough to go pond dipping?Make your own ecosystem in a jar to take home!

Quills and Wax Seals

How did people in the 17th-century use quills and wax seals to write letters and sign their name? Join us to find out and give it a go yourself!

Easter Biscuit Decorating

The Family Hub, Brampton

Each child can design some Easter themed biscuits and ice and decorate them. When finished, they can choose to eat them or box them up take them home to enjoy.


Messy Easter

Build a Bunny Workshop!

Tree Identification Workshop - Trees in Flowers

The tree identification workshops are structured to help you learn how to confidently identify the features of common British tree species that you will encounter on your local walks. Throughout the year the workshops focus on different parts of the trees' anatomy, giving you the opportunity to gain an intimate knowledge of their character.
