What's On May Half Term

As you can imagine, this coming half term week is heavily influenced by the Queen’s Jubilee, so get ready to don the red, white and blue and have tons of fun celebrating our Majesty with your little ones!

Amazing Archaeology Trail
28th May - 5th June

Cromwell Museum, Huntingdon

During half-term, we will have a new family trail available at the museum for free. Pick one up from the front desk when you arrive, and follow it to discover the real archaeological treasures in our collection!


Jubilee Half Term Fun
28th May - 5th June

Stanwick Lakes, Northampton

Take part in 'The case of the Queen's missing jewels' trail, inflatable fun, bag painting, ceramic painting (not only a great activity but could be given as a perfect Father's Day gift!), Jubilee crafts (including make your own crown), as well as yummy themed food in our new Visitor Centre Café.


Kids Jubilee Trail

Scotsdales Nursery and Garden Centre, Horningsea

Join us as we celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Pick up a trail sheet to find all of the Queen's corgis around the stores and enjoy a delicious Jubilee-themed treat if you manage find them all!

Help to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee, by decorating your very own yummy biscuit in delicious, yummy icing and sweeties. While your biscuit sets, there will be time to create your own regal crown fit for a little Queen or king!


Family Bug Hunt

Equipped with a bug hunting kit, including a butterfly net, pooter, collection pot, magnifying glass, clipboard and recording sheet, you will be invited to join a Fieldfare Expedition looking for as many different types of insects and creepy crawlies as you can find.


Jubilee Kids Club

We will be making card bunting, suitable for indoor use or outdoors if it is dry. There are also a variety of crown templates for your little royals to colour so you can be a prince or princess for the day. There are even mini crowns to pop your cupcakes in - or maybe crown your dolls or teddies with.

Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting Ceremony
2nd June

Castle Hill, Huntingdon

To celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Huntingdon Town Council is taking part in the national Beacon Lighting Ceremony, which will take place at Castle Hills, Huntingdon.

The ceremony will commence at 9.30pm and will follow the below programme, with the Beacon being lit at 9.45pm.
