What's On February Half Term

February half-term is just around the corner so here is your guide to what’s on!

Some of these events need to be booked ahead, so be sure to check whether you need to, and please remember that I can’t guarantee availability.

You can also check out the Things To Do page which has loads of places you can go and have fun at!

Women of the Civil War Trail
17-25 February
Cromwell Museum, Huntingdon

Explore our current exhibition with this new family friendly trail. Find out what the lives of women were like, discover what they did in the civil war, and learn a 17th century craft! Available for free at the front desk of the Museum.


Woodland Trees Activity Trail
17-18 February & 10-25 February
Jordans Mill, Biggleswade

The trees around the woodland, meadow and garden at Jordans Mill have lost their leaves. Can your little ones, match each leaf and seed on their trail sheet to the trees on posters around the site?


Half-term fun at Anglesey Abbey
17-25 February
Anglesey Abbey, Cambridge

Come and take part in our Snowdrop Scramble trail and pick up a winter spotter sheet in the Visitor Centre and see how many wintery things you can find around the gardens. 


Swords and Sceptres

Calling all noble knights and mighty monarchs! Join us for hands-on family fun this half-term inspired by knights, kings and their castles.


Wassail Crafts and Bird Trail
17-25 February
Wimpole Estate National Trust, Arrington

Help us find some feathered friends that have hidden on the ground floor of the house as part of the Wassail toy bird trail and then head to the basement where you will be able to create your own artwork, using recycled paper 'feathers'. On Home Farm, head to the activity barn to create a paper plate chicken and blow off some steam at the new playground.


Build a bird box in the Great Fen
17 February & 19 February

Join us either to build your bird box and enjoy the crafts. Then stay as long as you like to continue exploring, bug hunting and den building after the activities close. 


Wildlife Week

The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants will be hosting lots of activities all included in the entry price, including create & decorate your own wooden medallion, make your own bird feeders with pinecones, create willow wands, create your own clay disc, colouring and more! 


Cromwell Crafts

Huntingdon Town Hall

Drop into Huntingdon Town Hall and discover what type of crafts were done by women in the 17th century, and give them a try yourself! All activities FREE. Drop in only, no booking required. Ages 6+.


Great Fen Tree Planting Party
21 February
Great Fen Countryside Centre, Ramsey Heights

Families of all ages are invited to our Great Fen Tree Party! We'll be improving the site for wildlife by planting many different varieties of trees around the reserve. We'll have tree-themed crafts available for the children too and stories to enjoy. The mud kitchen will be set up and the den areas are waiting for your climbing and shelter-building skills.
