Whether you're seeking that special handmade gift, looking to indulge in an edible treat to get you in the festive spirit or wanting to meet the big man himself - there's a whole lot going on in Hemel Hempstead this December - and we've pulled together some of the best fairs, markets and Santa brekkies, to ensure you and your little elves don't miss out.

Christmas Shopping Night - The Steam Coach Pub, Boxmoor.

Thursday 2nd December
From 7pm

The Steam Coach Pub will once again host it's annual Christmas Shopping Night, featuring a variety of local traders showcasing a wide selection of beautiful gifts.

Friday 3rd December 
4pm - 8pm

Wax melts, homemade Christmas crafts, cakes, festive food & drink and live entertainment. The fun starts at 4pm.

Christmas Fair - Lime Walk Primary School

Friday 3rd December
3.30pm - 5.30pm

Visit Santa and his elves, participate in festive games, kids craft activities, books, cakes, refreshments and more.

Christmas Fair - Abbot's Hill School

Abbot's Hill School look forward to welcoming parents, friends and the wider community to the school for their Christmas Fair.

Christmas Market - The Old Town

Sunday 5th December
11am - 3pm

A selection of locally produced baked goods, artisan and handmade festive gifts, fashion, furniture and so much more.

The market is located in and around St Mary's Church and high street itself, where the usual coffee shops and gift shop will also be open. 

 

Christmas Craft Fair 

Sunday 5th December
11am - 4pm

Frogmore Papermill are delighted to be holding their annual Christmas Craft Fair this year, featuring a range of crafts from artisan makers, plus lots to see and do for all family.

Breakfast with Santa - The Pommel Horse, Jarman Park.

Sunday 5th December
9am - 11am

Join Santa for breakfast at The Pommel Horse. Includes breakfast, a drink and chat with the big man himself (plus a gift)

Kids Christmas Workshop - Shendish Manor Hotel

Sunday 5th, Sunday 12th and Sunday 19th December
10am - 1pm

This Christmas, children aged 5 -11 are invited to take part in a fun-filled festive workshop held at Shendish Manor Hotel. During the workshop, children will be encouraged to create their own Christmas tree bauble from scratch using 3D pens, design light-up Christmas cards and make their own Christmas crackers. Participants will be magically transported to a virtual winter wonderland using the latest augmented reality.

Places need to be booked in advance and are £25 per child. Each workshop event lasts for approximately 3 hours.

Christmas Fair - Highfield Community Centre 

Sunday 11th December
12noon - 4pm

Shop from a selection of wonderful gifts, Christmas crafts, festive treats and charity stalls. Also visit Santa in his grotto!

Highfield Community Centre, Fletcher Way, Bellgate, Hemel Hempstead.

 

Breakfast with Santa - The Three Blackbirds, Boxmoor.

Sunday 12th December
10am - 12noon

Santa is closing his workshop and heading to The Three Blackbirds Pub to have breakfast with the children, give them a little gift and to receive any letters or requests

£8 per child, - Breakfast, Juice , selection box and present £1 of each fee will go to Macmillan cancer research

Christmas Tree Festival - St John's Church, Boxmoor

Thursday 17th - Tuesday 22nd December
10am - 5pm

Carols will be held around the trees on the Saturday at 2pm, so wrap up warm. Hot dogs and Gluhwein (spiced wine) will available from 12noon - 4pm.
