Take a Sculpture for a Stroll with Natalie Zervou-Kerruish
Henry Moore Studio's & Gardens
Thu 17th April 2025
11.30am -1pm and 2-3.30pm drop in
Come and create your own sculpture on wheels! Take it for a walk inside and out.
In celebration of this year's theme of Encounters, artist Natalie Zervou-Kerruish invites you to make wondrous wheeled sculptures - are they of bodies or oddities? See how they move and animate different spaces, or think about how they transform the way you experience your surroundings.
Use soft and tactile materials to experiment with stuffing, squishing, wrapping and playing with shape, scale and form to create your artworks. You could even wrap yourself up to become a living sculpture amongst the others found outdoors!
Each of this year's activities will encourage you to record your own Encounters with Henry Moore's studios, gardens and sculptures. This season amplifies stories of creative exchange, embraces the creative spirit that permeates our site, and acknowledges Moore as a playful investigator of creative experimentation.
Natalie will be providing a self-led take a sculpture for a stroll activity sheet, which you can enjoy over the Bank Holiday weekend 18-21 April.
This event is suitable for children age 3+ and their families. We encourage intergenerational activities. The workshop will take place both indoors and outside in the sculpture gardens, so please dress for the weather.
