Decoupage Pumpkins Workshop. What colour will your pumpkin be? Will it be traditional orange with textures, or colourful spots and stripes?

In this workshop children 8+ years will be able to decoupage a set of three pumpkins using coloured and seasonal tissue paper, decoupage papers and other materials to create their own unique Halloween Pumpkin decorations, to display in your home for Halloween, year after year!

Decoupage is a hugely fun and calming craft for any age and any ability! Use decoupage paper to transform mache shapes or upcycle accessories and furniture, adding personalised touches to any space. There are so many ways to create unique designs with this popular craft technique.

This workshop will be lead by tutor Tina Goodman. Tina studied art & design before conforming to a more traditional career, but crafting has always been her passion, and she describes herself as a 'serial crafter'! At every spare opportunity, she has learned new skills and techniques, which she has happily passed on during group crafting sessions. Tina has been a lead Fun Palace maker for a number of years, during which she has taught some of these skills to the participants at Ware's the Fun Palace (including a video tutorial on how to make a document wallet from on-line delivery packaging during the lockdown fun palace).

Additional Information:
The workshop is being run with a maximum capacity of 12 and will be from 1pm -3pm on Thursday 31st October. This is a 2 hr drop off workshop. So if you have any last minute Halloween party prep to do, then drop the kids off to get yourself some time!

This session will be held in our downstairs function space.

This Decoupage Pumpkins Workshop is suitable for ages 8+ and is costed at £15 including all materials. Each workshop attendee will have 1 x 14.5cm mache pumpkin and 2 x 5cm mache pumpkins to decorate.

We suggest all attendees wear old clothes as they will be using acrylic paint and glue and other mediums which can stain.

We have a variety of summer holiday workshops for all ages in the summer holidays, including African Drumming, Craft Café, Macramé, Design some Sneakers, Print a bag, Mixed Media Junk Art, Comic Book Canvas, Jewellery and more. This workshop will also be available for teenagers aged 12+ on a different date in the holidays.

Southern Maltings is a beautiful historic building that volunteers are developing into an amazing not-for-profit arts and performance centre.
