This play area is on a housing estate and is enclosed, with a bench for parents. Inside it has a roundabout, spinning bowl, wacky spinner, spring animal, three way springer, hammock seat and a climbing frame with a slide.
Stanborough Park is the perfect training venue for open water swimming. The lake is a safe, clean and current free spot for swimmers to train round our 400m course. The site is fully serviced with changing rooms and warm showers OVER 14's only, open Spring to October

There are lots of trails to enjoy at Panshanger Park that take in the best of the park - from the Great Oak to the Dragonfly Trail and many more besides. The entrance to Panshanger Park is via the Thieves Lane car park located just off the A414 near Hertford. The nearest postcode is SG14 2WN. Panshanger Park is made up of a mosaic of habitats including woodlands, wetlands, grasslands and reedbeds making it a fantastic refuge for a huge variety of wildlife. During the spring and summer months, a multitude of wildflowers, butterflies, dragonflies and birds brings the park to life. Even in the autumn and winter the park is far from quiet.

Sherrardspark Wood is in the north west of Welwyn Garden City and is an ancient woodland consisting mainly of sessile oak and hornbeam. Sherrardspark Wood is popular with dog walkers, joggers, cyclists, and horse riders alike, and is also a valuable site for its wildlife.

This site is enclosed and in a residential area over looked by houses. There is a multi-play unit with slides, spring animal and spinner along with an inclusive basket swing. There is some seating for parents.
This wet meadow lies adjacent to the River Mimram on the northern edge of Welwyn. Managed by cattle grazing and cutting, it represents a rare habitat in Hertfordshire. The mosaic of grassland, willow scrub and more mature trees attract a wide range of wildlife especially plants of wet meadows, insects and birds including summer visitors.
