Mid Herts District covers Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn, Hatfield and Codicote. Every week over 750 young people aged from 6 to 18 from different faiths, backgrounds and abilities enjoy the fun challenge and adventure that Scouting has to offer. Scouting helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world. We currently have ten Scout Groups, four Explorer Units and one Scout Network Unit and Scout Active Support Unit, over 750 young people are supported by over 150 adult volunteers.
