Take a walk through the woodland, heathland and grassland. Enjoy the view of the heronry. Dogs are welcome. Bring your bikes and enjoy the trails (Permits are required). There are play spots across the site. Some of the paths are suitable for wheelchair users.

Once a private Estate known as Porters Park, then a site of a Mental Hospital, Shenley Park is now a unique self-funded Park for all. The Park is steeped in history and hosts an Orchard, Meadow, Woodland walks, Historic buildings and an amazing 2 acre landscaped Walled Garden with an Amphitheatre. Play area, walks, tea rooms. Events helfd through the year.

With the second largest area of unimproved chalk grassland in the county, Tring Park is one of Hertfordshire's most important habitats for wildlife. Take a stroll through meadows of lady's bedstraw, yellow rattle, saxifrage and salad burne in summer, and see how many butterflies and other insects you can spot. Waymarked walks guide you through the site.

Vanstone Park is an independent family run garden centre with 46 years trading. Within the grounds are: The Greenhouse Café, Car wash, King Acre Landscape Centre, Simply Dogs (Grooming) & Country Tipis (Wedding events). Weather Permitting there is a miniature woodland railway working weekends and during school holidays.

The Watford Miniature Railway is a 10¼" gauge railway located in Cassiobury Park. Located next to the park's paddling pools, playground and Hub building, we offer train rides all year round on weekends and bank holidays plus most school holidays (check website). The railway runs through a wooded area adjacent to the River Gade, and a ride takes approximately five minutes.
