A drop-in with tea, coffee and toys for parents, grandparents and carers with children aged 0-5 at St Luke's Church on Cell Barnes Lane in the Camp area of St Albans (between Hatfield Road and London Road). We're a newish group, so tend to be a bit quieter than the more established groups, which the families who come quite like. Everyone welcome between 10 and 11.30am each Wednesday morning.

The Aldersgate Cafe

Age: 0 - 5

The Aldersgate Café is open every Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am, and serves freshly brewed coffee and homemade cakes. Tea and chocolate are also available, as well as a selection of Fair Trade juices and biscuits. Everyone is welcome, whether they plan to meet friends for a chat, need a sympathetic ear to listen to a problem or would simply like to read a newspaper. Cafe in action We have a very popular children's area, equipped with books, crayons and a variety of quiet toys, which is designed to help parents or carers of young children keep their little ones occupied, while they enjoy a well earned cuppa. The café runs throughout the year, including half terms and holidays. Do come and join us.

Coffee and play for Mums, Dads, Carers and Babies (bumps, newborns and babies up until walking). We meet in the Large Hall at St Paul's Church from 10 - 11.30am on Thursdays in term time. However, come when you are ready - we know life is unpredictable with a new born! We serve legendary homemade baked goods. We look forward to seeing you.

On Thursday mornings during term time we run a toddler group in the Octagon room for pre-school children aged 18 months and over. This is accessed through the church or through the office/tower door. There are lots of different toys to play with and in the warmer months we have access to a secure outside area (weather permitting). Refreshments including tea, coffee, and biscuits are included. At the end of the session 10 minutes is spent having a story and singing. It is a great chance to let your toddler have a play whilst you get to know some other parents/carers. Thursday 9.30am - 11.00am (during term time) and there is a suggested £2 donation per family per session.

Fridays in term time at 09:30am in church: for babies and toddlers and their parents or carers. Friendly and informal; an hour to play and chat, ending with a story and some songs. Fresh filter coffee and tea, as well as snacks for toddlers. No need to book and free entry (donations welcome).
