On Thursday April 16th 2026, Herts County Council will contact all applicants regarding their Primary, Junior and Middle School applications.
On allocation day
16 April 2026 – find out which school you've been allocated.
Herts County Council will email you (if you applied online).
Or login to the admissions system to check (don't forget to check you know your username and password to log in to the online allocation system. If you have lost your password you can request them via the 'Forgot Password' link. You should do this as soon as possible, so you're ready for allocation day.)
When you get your offer
23 April 2026 is the deadline to accept or decline your offer.
If you don’t accept or decline, Herts County Council may offer your place to someone else. They'll then offer you a place at the nearest school that still has places.
They advise you to accept the place offered so your child definitely has a school in September. This doesn’t affect your chances of getting a school you prefer later, either through the continuing interest process, or through a school admission appeal.
