Remember Remember the 5th of November
So here we are again.....
Fireworks/Bonfire night is here yet again,
There are lots of Fireworks Displays on locally and you can find some suggestions here :
In addition several local supermarkets are still selling fireworks. A home firework display is not something we would recommend however if this is what you have chosen to do then I would recommend reading the following firework safety information before you do so.
If you are using sparklers remember to have a bucket of water nearby and ask the child to hold them, with supervision, with a gloved hand. You've probably also seen the hack of putting a sparkler in a carrot which can work well. So what else can you do to celebrate Fireworks night at home?
Youtube Fireworks-
There is an abundance of Fireworks you can look up on youtube. Settled down, turn the lights off and make believe with a fantastic display from your living room.
Some Yummy Food
What food does bonfire night make you think of? For me its Chilli and hot dogs and smores followed by hot chocolate. Raid your cupboards and cook up a yummy bonfire inspired fest!
Glow stick Fireworks
After Halloween we have some surplus balloons and glow sticks left at home. Last year we came up with the idea to put a glow stick in a balloon and tie it to a bit of string to allow my two little ones to create their own indoor display for us! They loved it!
Bonfire night Arts and Crafts
We have also been doing some simple Bonfire night crafts at home including this simple Bonfire centrepiece made with toilet roll tubes and some tissue paper. And a simple rocket. The wonderden also has a great Bonfire inspired free downloable activity pack here.
However you are marking Bonfire night this year we hope you have a great time, stay safe.
Lots of Love
