Hemel Old Town Market takes place on the first Sunday of each month, except January and February.

The market features local food, handmade crafts, artwork, jewellery and gifts, with over 50 stalls and more than 100 traders in busier months. It is held across St Mary's Square, the Old Town Hall arches, St Mary's Church Hall and the grounds of St Mary's Church. In winter, stalls move inside the church, which is open to visitors on market days.

The High Street is closed to traffic during the market, creating a safe, family-friendly atmosphere. Dogs are welcome, and there is nearby parking, disabled access and toilet facilities. Local cafés, pubs and shops are open throughout the day.
