For nearly five decades, Musicale has been the summer destination for young musicians aged 5-18! Join us this summer in Harpenden and become part of our legacy of music, friendship, and growth. Step up to Music is for children aged 5-7. See our courses "Orchestras and Wind Bands" or "Musical Theatre Week" for children aged 8-18.

Ignite your child's passion for music this summer with Step up to Music, our dynamic introduction to the world of musical exploration! Designed especially for our youngest musicians, this vibrant program invites children to dive into the joy of music-making, instrument discovery, and creative expression.

Instrument Exploration: Get hands-on with a variety of instruments, from clarinets to cellos, tambourines to trumpets and discover your musical match!
Musical Adventures: Embark on thrilling musical journeys through interactive games, captivating stories, and imaginative compositions.
Learn the Language: Delve into the fundamentals of music, mastering rhythm, pitch, pulse, timbre, and dynamics in engaging and interactive ways.
Week-Long Musical Adventure: This week is centered around an exciting theme that sparks creativity and curiosity. As the week unfolds, our budding musicians will build skills, confidence, and friendships, culminating in a lively concert performance for families at 3pm on Friday!


Ideal Age Group:
Based on our experience and success over the years, we have found that children aged 5-7 are ideally suited for this magical musical journey. Step up to Music is perfect for children who are new to music or have been playing for up to a year. Previous musical experience is not required - just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to explore!
