Hemel Youth Zone Saturday Project
The Hemel YouthZone Saturday Project is an exciting new project for all young people in the local area aged 11-17, up to 25 for care leavers and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). All young people in these age ranges are welcome to attend - no booking or referral is needed.
Through interactive workshops and fun activities, including music, dance, sports and creative arts, our qualified Youth Workers help young people to:
Develop essential life skills including decision-making, communication, and conflict resolution
Learn skills to improve their emotional wellbeing and build resilience
Make informed choices and build healthy relationships
Keep themselves safe from exploitation
Increase their awareness of the consequences of substance misuse and anti-social behaviour
Identify and achieve their aspirations
Find out about opportunities in their local area, including other Services for Young People youth work projects such as youth councils, through which they can become active citizens and changemakers in their communities.
The young people attending are enabled to shape the content, delivery and development of the project at every stage.
Every Saturday during term time, 1-4pm
