Established in 2019, Woodlands Pre-School is a friendly, Forest School-inspired setting for children aged 2–5 years, offering high-quality childcare and early education in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Open during term time from 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, we provide children with the opportunity to learn, play and grow through hands-on experiences, outdoor adventures and child-led exploration.

Nature is at the heart of everything we do. Whether children are building dens, exploring wildlife, getting messy in our mud kitchen, creating artwork or developing new skills, every day is filled with opportunities to learn through play. Our outdoor learning approach helps children build confidence, resilience, independence and problem-solving skills, while fostering a lifelong love of nature.

At Woodlands, we believe every child deserves to feel valued, included and supported to reach their full potential. We are proud of our strong reputation for supporting children with additional needs and have an experienced SENCo team led by Hollie and Sim, who work closely with families and professionals to ensure children receive the support they need. Over the years, we have successfully supported children with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, developmental delays, hearing impairments, physical disabilities and complex medical conditions.

We understand that choosing the right childcare setting is an important decision, which is why we work in partnership with families to create a warm, welcoming community where every child can thrive.

Owned and managed by Nikki Laventure, Woodlands Pre-School was founded with the vision of providing accessible, affordable and high-quality childcare for local families. Since opening, we have continued to grow, investing in our dedicated team and developing our indoor and outdoor spaces to create an inspiring environment where children feel happy, confident and ready for their next adventure.
