It’s Father’s Day this weekend and with things not quite as normal, we’ve put together some local businesses and attractions that are offering some fab Father’s Day treats, gifts and days out this year:

Food

• Boxmoor Steakhouse have put together some great Dad’s Picnic Hampers for Two plus a Kid's Picnic Box. Available Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st. 
• Abbots fine foods ltd are offering a Father’s Day BBQ Special which comes with a variety of meat and BBQ food delivered in time for Father’s Day!
• Surprise your Dad with a full grazing platter from Windmill Sandwhich Bar (feeds 2-3 people).
• What about a lovely Afternoon Tea delivery from Lockdown Luxury Afternoon Teas.
• Or simply some of Dad's favourite old fashioned sweets and treats from Sweet Memory Lane or Sweet as a Button.

Drink

• What about some locally brewed beer from Tring Brewery witht their Beer to Your Car service or Mad Squirrel Brewery.
• If gin is more his thing what about some Campfire Gin from Puddingstone Distillery
• Tring Winery have some fabulous wines for gifting but also have an exclusive online wine tasting experience perfect for Father’s Day.
• Platform Wines are also delivering both wine and beer in the Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted areas.
• And if you can't decide, Coffee & Wine Boxmoor has chocolate, beer, cider, gin and of course, coffee and wine.

Days Out

• Zoo’s and Safari Parks are now open,  just make sure you pre-book before you go. Why not try Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Safari Park or Paradise Wildlife Park which is open to members from 20th – 26th June.
• For prehistoric animals, Knebworth House Dinosaur Trail and Fromal Gardens are open for pre-booking too.
• For more dinosaurs (and a bit of golf!), Dinosaur Safari Adventure Golf (Barnet) and Dinosaur Escape Adventure Golf (Northolt) are open for groups from the same household. Lost Jungle Adventure Golf in Edgware is also offering the same.
• National Trust are gradually opening up their locations and are perfect for a family day out, just make sure you book online before you go to the larger venues such as Waddesden, Cliveden or Ascott. However for more relaxed locations what about Ashridge or Dunstable Downs.
• The trails at Wendover Woods are also now open however the play equipment and Go Ape remains closed.
• For something a little different Vire Zone now have outdoor escape room activities perfect for families in the same household however two of their activities can also be played by up to 6 people from different households so long as social distancing is observed!
