Aldenham Country Park is set in 100 acres of parkland adjacent to a 60 acre lake. It features Pooh Bear's 100 Aker wood which is free to visit, though there is a charge for the car park. For a charge you can book pony rides, go on a woodland adventure, visit the farm and take part in their daily events including animal feeding and meeting the farmer, or enjoy the adventure playground. Membership to the farm is available.

Aldenham Country Playground is a purpose built multi-sensory play facility for children and young people with disabilities and other special needs. Throughout the week we have a variety of activities on offer. Why not come along and try something new - from fun and games, arts and crafts to meeting our animals. Admission charge to the Playground includes parking and the admission of a parent or carer.

The Ashridge Estate is a 5,000 acre area of the Chiltern Hills with beech and oak woodlands, commons and chalk downlands. These very different landscapes each support a rich variety of wildlife, including carpets of bluebells in spring, rare butterflies in summer and the fallow deer that rut in autumn. The best way to explore the Estate is on foot or by bike. Free entry to the site. Dogs welcome - please keep them under control.

Try and find the Fairies and Elves in their Tree Houses as you walk through the Enchanted Woods. Make a Fairy Wand or Magic Stick with our very own Fairy or Elf. Children's Woodland Adventure Play Area, Lakeside cafe, Orienteering course, over 10 miles of well surfaced trackways suitable for buggies and wheelchairs, safe off road cycling, challenge yourself on the high wire rope bridges, giant Tarzan swing and zip wires of Go Ape Treetop Adventure, Picnic areas - includes a dog free area, Model boats - electric, sail and steam model boats are welcome.

An amazing beauty spot with a lot of history behind it, you can have a day out in this fantastic, Green Flag award-winning beauty spot, which has recently been voted one of the top 10 parks in the UK. With the new award winning Cassiobury Park Hub, state of the art paddling pools with exciting splash pool & water features, a booming bandstand, Daisy's in the park café & Cafe Cha open all year & a packed programme of activities all year round, it's a great day out for the whole family.

Spend the day with our archers, storytellers, warriors and woodsmen at Celtic Harmony Camp, the Iron Age village set in acres of beautiful woodland near Hertford. Celtic Harmony Camp is only open to visitors for specific events (see website) or visits by schools or other uniformed or organised group.

Covering 175 acres Church Farm produces the widest range of free range meat and naturally grown fruit and vegetables. Church Farm is open to the public everyday from 9.00am to 5.00pm 365 days a year. It is free to visit and free to park. Collect a free map and buy some food to help feed the animals, enjoy our woodland play area, indoor Little Farmers barn or relax in our Farm Cafe.

The formal park covers an area of approximately 3.6 hectares (9 acres), and includes a wide range of features that still exist from the original park. These include rose and flower beds, extensive tree and shrub planting, the Aberdeen granite drinking fountain and the park-keeper's lodge. The park also has a lovely children's playground that was refurbished in 2021 and during the summer months free, turn up and play tennis courts.
