St Albans City Hospital
St Albans City Hospital is the Trust's elective care centre. It provides a wide range of elective care (both inpatient low risk surgery and day-case) and a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services with in excess of 100,000 outpatient appointments. It has forty beds and six theatres (including one procedure room for ophthalmology).
Located at the hospital is the Integrated Urgent Care Hub - a minor illness and injuries service offering appointments between 9am and 6pm, seven days a week and provides access to diagnostic services, including x-rays. This is not a walk-in facility. When calling your GP or NHS 111 with an urgent health issue, you may be offered an appointment on the same day at the Integrated Urgent Care Hub.
