At the Services for Young People Emotional Wellbeing Project at the Pioneer Young People's Centre you can get involved with all sorts of great activities. We are currently offering the 'Supporting You' programme. Supporting You is a group programme of seven weekly sessions where you learn strategies to help you to reduce stress, anxiety and low mood in a fun and safe environment. The programme gives you the tools to build resilience and maintain positive emotional wellbeing. Thursdays 6.30-8.30pm. For young people aged 11-17.

My work incorporates relaxation, mindfulness and laughter yoga to give people the tools and strategies to cope in an increasingly stressful world. My classes give children a safe space in which they have fun, they talk about how they feel, they support one another and they learn the value of being aware of their emotions and dealing with them in positive ways.

The Howard Bowmen organise approximately four beginner's courses per year with a maximum number of 12 participants. Courses are organised over a single weekend with sessions on Friday night (6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.), all day Saturday (9.30 a.m. to 4.00p.m.) and Sunday morning (9.30a.m. to 12 noon).

Does your teen or young adult need to learn how to cook?
For a Duke of Edinburgh award skill, to learn basic cooking skills before leaving for uni or simply for a bit of fun. The Mad Batter can offer tailor made cooking classes for one to one or group cooking classes.

We run weekly 1 hour lessons in guitar, bass and drums in Harpenden and St Albans. Two students share a tutor and spend 45 minutes learning how to play their instrument and then 15 minutes performing with it. The majority of students join us as beginners. It's live, loud and lots of fun for everyone who participates, students experiencing what it's like to play on a real rock band.

Theatretrain St Albans is a part time Stage School providing professional coaching in dance, drama & singing classes. We aim to give every child regular opportunities to perform, both locally and nationally (and sometimes internationally!).
