This year we once again join in England's largest festival of heritage and proudly open the garden gates for visitors to join us FREE OF CHARGE. The Walled Garden will be open for visitors to take their time with a stroll around the garden and its historic service buildings, find out a little of our rich and varied history in the displays, and maybe even bring something home delicious from the garden shop. 'Heritage Open Days is England's largest community led festival of history and culture, involving thousands of local volunteers and organisations. Every year in September it brings people together to celebrate their heritage, community and history. Stories are told, traditions explored, and histories brought to life. It's your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences - and it's all FREE.'

Parking is free and conveniently located right next to the Walled Garden. We also offer accessible facilities within the garden, along with plenty of seating options throughout. Dogs on leads accompanied by well behaved owners are welcome to join us for Heritage Open Day. 🙂
